For Firefighting Application Fire Jockey Pump 10GPM Flow With NFPA20 Standard
Fire Jockey Pump Introduction:
A jockey pump is a pump connected to a fire sprinkler system and is intended to maintain pressure in a fire protection piping system to an artificially high level so that the operation of a single fire sprinkler will cause a pressure drop which will be sensed by the fire pump automatic controller, causing the fire pump to start. The jockey pump is essentially a portion of the fire pump's control system.
A jockey pump is sized for a flow less than the flow to one sprinkler in order to ensure a system pressure drop. Hence a jockey pump is an important part of the fire pumps control system. Jockey pumps are typically small multistage centrifugal pumps, and do not have to be listed or certified for fire system application. The control equipment for jockey pumps may however carry approvals.
Jockey pumps should be sized for 3% of the flow of the main fire pump and to provide 10psi more pressure than the main fire pump (As per Code IS 15105 : 2002) The application of a jockey pump in a fire protection system is provided by NFPA 20. They are inspected per NFPA 25 "Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Fire Protection Systems".
Performance Ranges:
CCCF: Q:0.25-125L/S H:0.40-2.5Mpa
NFPA20: Q: 100-1000GPM H:100-220PSI
Application:
Large hotels, hospitals , schools, office buildings, supermarkets, commercial residential buildings, metro stations, railway stations, airports, kinds of transportation tunnels, petrochemical plants, thermal power plants, terminals, oil depots, large warehouses and industrial and mining enterprises, etc.

This is to ensure that if a fire-sprinkler is activated, there will be a pressure drop, which will be sensed by the fire pumps automatic controller, which will cause the fire pump to start.

Product Type:
NFPA20 Package
Advantage:
First-Class international technical standards
NM Fire is the first member of NFPA from Chinese pump manufacturers .
The production of fire pump groups is strictly in accordance with NFPA20, production process and performance testing also meet the requirement of ISO9001, some kinds of products have got APSAD(France), UL , FM and CCCF certificates.
We are the only enterprise in China that obtained not only UL and FM certificates, but CCCF as well, also the first company in the world who was authorized by UL CCIC as witness testing center for both fire pumps and fire fighting engines.
First-Class testing and inspection equipment.
UL certification represents the world's highest technical standards of fire certification, but also means that certified fire products must withstand the most extreme, harsh test process, the purpose of certification designed to verify whether the product meets the performance, safety and quality requirements,so as to achieve the purpose of property protection.
NM fire obtained fire diesel engine UL1247 and fire pump UL448 witnessed laboratory accreditation, fully proved that the company in terms of hardware and software strength, are to meet the
strict requirements of UL certification.
